Aside from banging Alistair and the cute little Cullen/Fem!Mage thing in the first DA, I don't GIVE A DECK about Templars. Don't know why, really. I guess it's because they remind me of my grandma, who likes to work religion into our every conversation so she can shame me into going to church. Little did she know, I am incapable of being shamed. Too much narcissism.
Have you heard about his character change in future installments? how he'll become more angsty and hardened after having his Faith Broken Twice, once by Uldred's deeds in the Circle, and the Second by Meredith's deeds in Kirkwall has me excited and just so hungry for him to become a Companion in 3 or something!
It was brought up by David Gaider (then again he says Dwarf love creeps him out) I just see it as Cullen being able to find himself, without ties to the Chantry in form of the Circle or the Templars! so he can be free to express his views without restriction or Biased (biase?) In all i think it's worth seeing how they manage it, like when I first heard they were making the Elves Irish, I was all D: but now I'm all "well that sure beats Origins now! they feel more different than just Smaller Humans with pointy ears"
probably because they used DA2 as a way to hype DA3, because pretty much the majority of the game is spent talking about stuff Hawke never gets to find out, Problems in Orlais? Mage-Templar War? and poor Hawke's story ends before that
